Romania is not the land of the poor_
Gabriel Morin

Back in the early 90’s a young romanian guy stayed with my wife, our 2 kids and me, for like a week. I took him shopping and helped him to various articles that he would take back to Romania and start a business. Yes, he got some money. No, he was not a romani. But he was a nice guy, full of enthusiasm, eager to learn the free market economy models used by ‘the West’, and I’m sure he got back and made a good business for himself.

Thank you for a nuanced post on Romania, and I hope to see you there someday !
