Beginning of Giving - Chapter Three

We went back to Philippines, straight to the Luzon Island. One of our volunteers promised us that they can put us in touch with some of the members of the Aeta Tribe. They are thought to be among the earliest inhabitants of the Philippines. The people they met have a frugal life, living near the water with men fishing and women selling herbal medicine. Not a luxurious life, always helping each other and never complaining even when you see that their struggle is real. Fighters and survivors.

The Aeta are nomadic and build only temporary shelters made of sticks driven to the ground and covered with the palm of banana leaves, but more modernised Aetas have moved to villages and areas of cleared mountains.

Here, in Banoyo, San Luis, Batangas went Mrs Charlotte and Mrs Nabi on a sunny Sunday. Together with few others volunteers, they managed to create a beautiful and memorable day for the locals. Playing games, singing and sharing stories. Talking with the locals, visiting the elderly and helping the most vulnerable. There are not enough words to describe the joy and excitement of children of all ages, who appeared from everywhere and remained, the soul and the heart of the event.

All together, we consider this mission not necessarily a success, but a step forward, a little ray of light… a little seed of hope planted in the hearts of some extraordinary people and their day to day struggle. We will be more than happy to see everyone in the near future.

There are more photos and videos, taken at this event, and every single one shares a unique story in its own way. We will put them all together and create a collage video to upload on You Tube, to be seen by others.

We All United never questions the cause of the problems, we only see the needs. We are so thankful to you, reader… and we hope that our journey will bring happiness to many others around the world.
