If you are anything like us here at Never Newed HQ there is nothing you love more than getting the girls together and hosting a really chilled-out girls’ night; this week, we have planned for you the ultimate sushi night.

Decide who and when

Perhaps the most crucial features of any kind of event are who will be there and when it will be. If you are at college or University, try to pick a relatively quiet night in the week, like a Tuesday or a Thursday, so that more people can come. Also, if you are using a sushi night to get to know a couple more people, try to invite people with similar interests.

Decide a theme

Although you can have fun without a specific theme, one of the best ways to make the vibe a little bit more relaxed is to add a theme into the mix; something like coming dressed as your future self is a fun idea.

Order in or make yourself

Depending on your skills, you might want to give making sushi from scratch a go, but if you are looking for a really easy cheat way of throwing a sushi night, decide what types of sushi and sides you want, then simply order in!

Decide on drinks

Another important aspect is what you will have to drink; we recommend having a nice light bottle or two of wine depending on how many people are coming, and then also have a nice jug of water — add in mint and lemon for extra points.

Set the mood

Now that all the other steps have been completed, you need to think about the evening’s overall vibe when it gets to the day of the sushi night. Make sure everything is tidy, and maybe even get out the fairy lights to create a relaxed vibe.

Entertainment

It’s always so much fun to have some light entertainment. If you have any board games, now is the time to bring them out.
