Ellie Goulding a shining star in Prague

Past weekend, January 30th, Ellie Goulding rocked Prague’s O2 Arena and made Praguers sing their hearts away. Famous “Love me like you do”, “Outside”, and many more from her new “Delirium” album got the audience extasized with its meaningful lyrics and unique indie pop tunes.

The 2010 breakthrough in the music industry, Ellie Goulding is a UK singer and songwriter who continues to captivate public with her unique voice and the music style. A blend of pop, folk and electronic, that’s how it can be described.

Ellie comes from Hereford, a small town on the border between England and Wales, and now she makes her music in London following her pop dreams. Ellie believes that fate is something that brought her to the music career. “There’s something pushing me to do what I’m doing, a weird force.”

She played the clarinet up till it went out the window then switched to guitar, she told BBC. Because of her voice she was told not to sing, instead she tried to be an athlete and go to University. Winning a Brit Award was a kick start of Goulding’s career, which followed with collaborations with an array of outstanding artists and producers including Calvin Harris.

Looking back at her concert last Saturday, Ellie Goulding is not among those pop divas who like to impress with huge glaring shows with great number of special effects. “I want the power to come from what I sing about and how I sing.”

Two years ago, Totally sold out SaSaZu with its capacity of 2,500 people was incomparable with the scope of January 2016 gig. Booming 15,000! (according to the venue, O2 Arena).
