I have seen a lot of people analysing this and claiming how empowering it is… is it really? Is a woman who stays with her cheating husband REALLY overthrowing the patriarchy? Singing about it and making a video is just a more eloquent version of shrieking “AND KEEP IT IN YER PANTS NEXT TIME” across a crowded pub- it is airing dirty laundry in public before taking it back in and hoping nobody noticed.
