I would like to think that this is why I can’t let it go. When people are being racist or sexist and can’t wait to use the “it’s not racist or sexist because I have all these context-less statistics” response, when someone continues arguing against things you haven’t even said just to be contrary and I know this but keep going… maybe subconsciously I am not thinking of sex or food, or- more likely- how tedious work is, maybe I am being as smart and considerate as you and arguing to help others.

I don’t think I am that clever though
