Key highlights from Paris NFT Day & Blockchain Week Summit 2022!
The biggest Blockchain Conference in Europe…
The week of April 11th was undoubtedly a dream week for crypto enthusiasts! More than 3.000 attendees, 70 sponsors, 250 speakers and 100 media partners from the crypto and blockchain industries gathered for PBWS 2022 at Palais Brongniart.
From April 11th to April 15th, PBWS hosted sessions on Master, Junior and Discovery stages about Web 3.0, NFTs, Metaverse, traceability, leveraging blockchain on the innovation journey, digital governance, what’s been built in 2021/2022, the state of digital asset liquidity, international regulatory cooperation and much more!
During the whole week, in addition to conferences a variety of networking events, diners and parties all around Paris (full list here) have been organized before, during and after the summit. I also had the opportunity to attend the PBWS Light Node Media VIP Welcome Reception, Coinbase x PBWS Kickoff Party and Paris Web3 Night organized by Arianee x The Sandbox x Ledger x Dogami where we listened to hottest topics about blockchain, crypto and Web 3.0, made lasting connections with industry leaders and crypto enthusiasts from all around the world.
Key highlights from PBWS:
1)Binance’s recent decision to invest 100 million euros in French Web3 startups in partnership with incubator Station F was announced by Changpeng Zhao (CEO of Binance) and Roxanne Varza (Director of Station F). CZ also highlighted that Binance has many new positions and is growing its operations in France.
2)Not surprisingly, Master Stage was also full during Brad Garlinghouse’s (CEO of Ripple) session, as the majority of attendees were interested in learning more about the ongoing SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) and Ripple case regarding the company’s unregistered securities sale by selling XRP. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated: “The lawsuit has gone exceedingly well, and much better than I could have hoped when it began about 15 months ago”.
3)The conference drew such a large crowd that the venue’s largest stage, the Master Stage, was completely sold out for the majority of the sessions. Among the most critical issues raised by keynote speakers and panelists were the importance of upcoming cryptocurrency regulations, the SEC lawsuit, essential drivers of crypto markets, institutional investments in digital assets, crypto adoption across emerging markets, and much more!
