Web3alert — a pioneer blockchain notification service is thrilled to announce its integration with Kintsugi!

The integration of Kintsugi to Web3alert service platform allows Kintsugi users, developers and followers to subscribe to different types of notifications and receive them in the messengers of their choice. Any event or call on the Kintsugi blockchain can be tracked with Web3 Alert!

Kintsugi is Interlay’s canary network, a real-economy testnet running on Kusama (Polkadot’s canary network). Kintsugi and Interlay have the same code base, but Kintsugi will be 2–3 releases ahead of interBTC, implementing more pilot features.

Kintsugi’s kBTC brings fully open Bitcoin to Kusama to kickstart liquidity for parachains such as Karura, Shiden and Moonriver. The interBTC bridge enables users to generate 1:1 Bitcoin-backed assets on Kintsugi — and utilize them in a variety of applications such as decentralized exchanges, stablecoins, and lending protocols.

Quantity of possible combinations of modules, events, and calls (and filters) that can be tracked is huge, that’s why for users’ convenience we have created two modes: Simple mode and Advanced mode.

Simple mode consists of the most useful and frequently used events, gathered in the 4 groups.

Haven’t found an alert in pre-made Simple mode? Create it by yourself in Advanced mode.

There are collected all the modules, events, calls and filters, and thus you can track literally anything happening on Kintsugi blockchain. Not even a mouse would pass through undetected!

Among the common for any parachain alerts, like transfer, or staking rewards, or governance motions, Kintsugi has its own, unique features, that are also tracked by Web3alert, for example, Vault-related alerts.

Vaults are responsible for maintaining the physical 1:1 peg between BTC and kBTC. Vaults receive BTC for safekeeping from users and ensure BTC remains locked while IBTC/KBTC exists

Vaults have 3 important functions that can be tracked by Web3alert:

  1. Provide Collateral and upload their Bitcoin public key to the bridge. The amount of collateral provided determines how much BTC the Vault can accept for safekeeping. Collateral is provided in assets white-listed by Governance.

2. Issue: Vaults receive BTC from users for safekeeping. This locks the Vault’s collateral until BTC is redeemed again.

3. Redeem: Vaults monitor the Interlay/Kintsugi bridge for redeem requests. When a user requests to redeem IBTC, Vaults release BTC to the user and prove that they behaved correctly via the BTC-Relay. Only if this proof is correct, the Vault’s collateral is unlocked.

Such types of alerts you might have already seen in Kintsugi Discord, as well as Governance-related notitfications:

Now you can set these types of subscription, but related only to addresses you’d like to follow, and receive alerts to messengers you’d like to use.

Your notifications can be sent to Discord, Telegram, Slack or to all at once. E-mail will be added soon!
