Known for being the King of Memes (Pepe) mashed with NFT Pioneers BAYC, Pepe Ape Yacht Club has amassed a cult following over the last year and has become one of the most rewarded and engaged communities on the blockchain. How?

The Portals
The portals allow an innovative pathway to new PFP’s and utility without diluting the original supply.
PAYC call this ‘The Portal Ecosystem’.

You only require 1 x PAYC Genesis to access these portals. Once you do, the mint is associated with your token ID forever. You can only be in one portal at any given time but can transfer in and out of portals as much as you please.
Once your genesis has been transferred into a portal, the NFT is effectively staked. Each portalled version is the key to additional ecosystem rewards. Acting as a multiplier when soft staking in their partner platform EngageR (more on that later).
This means the holder can simply stack continuous value onto the same token ID just by using the portals. More portal access = higher value.
The option for more portals is endless and, in some cases, will be paid entry in the form of Sheesh token. So, expect a raft of partnerships across music/art/fashion over the next few years.

An Alpha led portal which in addition to returning a pimped up ‘Degen’ Pepe with tattoos and background, allows access to all the alpha channels in the PAYC discord. Here, the team provide mint calls, trading support and minting bot visibility. Don’t try and sell it in this version, because you can’t.

An art inspired collection in collaboration with some great web 3 artists. Most notably, @NFTrashpandas @Wanderscheme and @BaanbeS. Holders can enter the portal and receive some fresh artwork, but also have the chance of hitting a valuable 1/1 NFT.
Elvis Presley — 1000 capped mint
The first drop into PAYC Legends was Image and Audio IP rights to Elvis Presley! Brought to the blockchain through The Rockabilly Hall of Fame x PAYC.
Limited to 1000, holders gained the first ever flippable audio NFT at the same time of gaining some priceless IP!
PAYC Legends will expand over time. Which legend will be next?
The only separate collection available is the MPYC. As a reward for holding PAYC Genesis, owners were able to claim 1 mutant for every 2-genesis held. This claim was done so holders could ‘trait match’ and create a holder tailored mutant.
The upcoming (Nov 23) Elementals mint will allow holders to burn 5 mutants in exchange for x 1 Elemental Serum. This will make the Mutant collection scarcer and more desirable at the same time of offering up the opportunity to mint the Elementals.
Sheesh Token $SHS
Nft-fi Sheesh token is what powers the PAYC ecosystem. Introduced as a reward currency, Sheesh has gained partnerships with many like-minded projects to ensure a sustainable way of delivering long-term growth and value to holders across a variety of projects.
With all this available scalability, there needed to be a token that allows these ecosystems to operate in alignment and allow fluid exchange between rewards, deployment demands, and all further token use case opportunities.
In direct relation to PAYC, Sheesh token will be deflationary through it’s for paid portal entry and specialist mints such as Elementals.

Elementals
Elementals by PAYC have been nearly a year in the making. A truly unique display of layered ‘Pepe Mural Art’ these NFT’s will have a severely reduced supply, likely to top out at around 1500.
Long-term holders will benefit from an airdrop of Serum, which can be applied to ANY PAYC Genesis NFT, resulting in a unique trait match Elemental version. A snapshot was taken 6 months ago to confirm airdrops based on holding the previous ‘Mutant Trio’s’.
An additional 250 Serums will be available for purchase through Sheesh token at a cost of 420m (.17eth) at the time of writing.
This is another example of how Sheesh token is utilized in a deflationary way, ensuring value increase across all facets of the ecosystem.
Using sheesh in the mint process can ensure that PAYC are not only creating use case for Sheesh tokens, but they are using the acquired sheesh to deflate the overall supply, further rewarding holders and facilitating more partnerships.
