Application Level Volume Control in OS X

If you ever need to control the volume level of a specific Application in OS X while leaving the overall system volume untouched do the following:

Select the Application Window you want to control (click your mouse on the Spotify or iTunes window.)
Press the command & up or down arrow keys to raise or lower the volume.

Again, this should be at the Application level, the overall system volume should remain unchanged.
