How to take over a civilisation.

In 1856, Napoleon enlisted the French magician Jean Robert Houdin to travel to Algeria on a mission of deception and cunning.

Napolean had a problem to solve, the tribes in Algeria, North Africa, were rebelling against his invasion and thus creating a problem during his race to dominate the globe.

I believe that Napoleon was as we know, a man of great power, and like many men of great power, completely aware that there is nothing more powerful than him, thus speaking, there is no God and magic is not real. His actions had no consequence, only superstition drove his faith. He had worked out that the tribes in Algeria were led by men who ‘claimed’ to have magical powers. These men would perform very basic magic tricks to convince the tribes people they spoke to God, had powers etc.

Instead of sending large armies and expensing expensive resources better used to fight other first world nations to solve this problem, Napoleon sent the ‘rockstar’ French magician Houdin to outsmart the tribespeople at their own game.

Houdin booked out a theatre and performed his act for the tribes of Algeria over the course of a week. The trick that he performed was genius, it was in my opinion the most manipulative use of magic in modern history.

He performed the light and heavy chest.

This trick is simple, get a small boy and a big man to lift up a box, when the magician snaps his fingers the small boy can lift the box but the big man can’t. Everyone laughs at the big man’s struggle as determination fills his eyes after seeing this small child lift the box with ease, only to fail in front of an entire audience at the same task.

In this instance, Houdin was far more creative.

He placed a chest on the stage and had the most powerful tribe leader pick the box up to show how light it was. He then waved his wand, declaring that he would take the mans strength away. He then asked him to try and lift the box. The man tried to lift the box from the stage but couldn’t; the audience believed he had lost all his strength. With another wave of his wand, Houdin gave the man back his strength, and he was once again able to lift the box.

The magicians method

What they didn’t realise is that Houdini had placed an electromagnet under the stage, allowing him to fix the box to the ground with a footswitch. This was well before Edison’s light bulb and people had no idea about the wonders of electricity.

The room went silent in shock; they couldn’t believe that this French magician could perform more powerful magic than their very own tribe leaders. They couldn’t take a mans physical strength away! As a result, the tribes surrendered to the French.

Initially, Houdin would perform this as a comedy piece, but by changing the script and tone of the routine ever so slightly he can use it for a far more sinister goal.

You see, it’s not the trick or the illusion that’s powerful, that part is just a spectacle for the audience to enjoy, it’s what you tell the audience before and after the ‘magic’ that is so powerful.

The effect of magic on the brain

If you can shatter the beliefs of a person, show them something that they just cannot explain or have never seen before, you’re a god. You can do something they cannot challenge with logic or knowledge.
Therefore, if you tell them ‘God’ has given you powers, or you speak to ‘God’ and he gives you this ability, technically speaking, their mind cannot challenge you. If the magic is powerful enough, their mind will click ‘he can do things no one can do, he’s smarter than me, he’s incredible, I believe anything he says’. At this point almost anything you say before or after the illusion will go from fiction to solid fact in their mind. If you can create a script that is emotional, well, emotions form the strongest bonds in the human mind, so get them to cry, laugh or freak out and you’ll experience real power.

Welcome to my world

The world of lies, deception and manipulation.
I’ve built my career on my ability to control and twist people to get an emotional reaction. I’m a nerd, so whilst having these skills I know at all times, to quote Spiderman’s Uncle Ben;

‘With great power comes great responsibility’.

Let me digress.

How could a magician shape mankind? Well, when I read the stories from the Bible, and hear of the miracles performed by Jesus, I don’t see ‘the son of God’. I see a magician. I study magicians, people, con artists and in the bible I see a magician from a time where whispers spread into gospel. You only have to look at how hard it is now for magicians to create magic today.

‘It’s photoshop.’

‘That’s been CGI’d.’

Things you never heard in 25 A.D, back then it was a lot easier to pull of a good trick. Seeing was believing.

Magic is not real. Period.

If you are a firm believer in Jesus or rest your faith in a human-made religion, I suggest you stop listening. For I do not believe in a God. Well not at least as we know it.

Religions can be used as a trick, to control masses, it’s a cult. We’ve seen it throughout history, Jesus, The Egyptians… I know what you’re thinking, ‘Who are you to say that? How dare you say such a bold statement on the internet without any sources, you’re just another Alex Jones conspiracy writer’. While this may all be true, I am in fact one of the very few people in this world that knows what it’s like to be seen by some as partly speaking, a God.

If you don’t believe me, let me explain, because I’ve experienced a very bizarre phenomenon, you can ask the millions of people I have convinced, in a world full of instantaneous information and universal knowledge, available at our fingertips. ‘What can Tom do?’

‘He can perform magic, control minds and predict the future.’

While some of this is true, I can control people, and I can read minds, I can’t actually do this. I know how to trick people into thinking I can. I have succeded in making people believe I can do real magic.

Had I of done this 300 years ago, I’d be as famous as Justin Bieber. I would be a rockstar much like Houdin. Justin is another person who knows what it’s like to look into the eyes of another human and see the same look. This feeling of, being viewed by others as some kind of God.

Now, don’t get off on the wrong foot, I don’t think I am a God.

Instead, I believe I possess an ability which when used correctly can force some people to think I am from another universe or a higher dimension and possess powers that are only obtainable by a god-like being. If my spectators are already religious, well, then it gets a lot easier to persuade them there’s theological reasoning to my ability.

If you’re still with me great, if not…

tl;dr : If you could perform magic at a high enough level, you would be shocked at how many people believe you have theological, spiritual and supernatural powers.

The prestige

However, there was of course just one thing Jesus could not cheat, death.

Like any magician, the deception was neverending, much like the film ‘The Prestige’, that’s why I think he had a group of followers sworn to secrecy who dug him from the grave after his death. They were carrying on his act even while he was dead.

Lord behold, we get Easter.

Can you imagine for a moment, a magician? So good at what he is doing and deeply rooted in the minds of his followers that he has shaped mankind with his tricks. Every year we celebrate Christmas as a holiday not founded on our culture as a race, and it’s accomplishments, but instead, the beautifully constructed stories told by the world’s OG twitter army devoted to the most infamous magician ever, Jesus Christ.

My theory is so crazy it almost sounds true right?

In the earliest literature of the Jewish Rabbis, Jesus was denounced as the illegitimate child of Mary and a sorcerer.(https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/apr/14/what-is-the-historical-evidence-that-jesus-christ-lived-and-died) A sorcerer, can you believe it. It’s right there in the text. I don’t know how trustworthy that is but hey! It backs up my theory so it sticks.

I think Jesus was a magician, a good one, his routines and the stories told through them shaped a civilisation.

So what am I getting at?

You might think I am crazy; you might think I am arrogant, overly outspoken, lacking citation or maybe bang on the money

My point is…

We are easily manipulated, controlled and lead into believing others; a song can shape our motives and control our emotions. Music has driven culture, fueled uprising and art has birthed powerful human characteristics we take for granted today such as romanticism.

We have always been this way, we are still flocking together like a band of lost sheep infront of a Shepard. We continue to be a race of rats running around small wheels powering the culture that has been built and controlled by those pulling strings. The Magicians.

Modern civilisation is built on a bedrock of lies and deception.

Today, we’re being brainwashed by a select few who are manufacturing self-hate and engraining commercialism and globalisation, and breeding comparison culture on to our children.

You don’t need to turn water into wine to do this, it’s so much easier. We’re impressed enough by a dog filter to follow some spoiled kid advocating talentless and immoral behaviour, that’s the route to success and fame and like the magicians, we all want to be famous.

Music. Don’t even start. The things people rap about, the rappers themselves, it’s shocking.

Emotion blinds us. That’s why the Jedi had a good thing.

Magicians run the world, but now they have worked out a way to spread their tricks further than the crowds in Jerusalem. Instead, their tricks can spread through media, product…. the internet. Entwined into society in ways we cannot possibly imagine.

You’re losing me Tom.

What I have said is, of course, all just theory, speculation, conspiracy.
I convince people that I can do supernatural things. It works, every single day. Every single day it gets more powerful, more controlled, more in-depth and more about their ignorance than mine. It’s easy. I just talked my way into a fashion week show by saying I was with some random magazine and shouting at someone for making me late. The other day I photoshopped my rail-card to get free entry into The Vatican… I did this stood in front of the ticket operator.

Recently i’ve been using apps, hacking techniques and social engineering to explore my theories in a practical setting.

It’s easier than ever to trick people

‘Some people will believe anything that’s on your phone, the internet, or wikipedia.’

source: BREXIT, PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.

I like to fantasise sometimes, what if I had millions…no, billions of people to control? What if I knew everything about them, where they work, who there partner is, what their buying habits are. What if I knew who there friends are and how they share information between one another.

I am shocked that people still don’t accept it.

Facebook has an algorhytm for everything. A model for everything.

The richest company on the planet, the smartest minds and all the data imaginable AND (prior to the Cambridge thing) totally unaccounatable for their actions.

They shape the social media landscape, they decide who is famous, who gets seen and who doesnt. This company has so much power what they do is magic. I’m not hating on social media, i’m a magician too, I love this kind of thing, but something needs to change.

To conclude, looking into the eyes of the worlds most powerful tech companies, there’s an endless for loop triggering in my brain.

You might not agree with me, you might think this is crazy but, quite simply when looking at who is a magician, a mind reader, a mind controller…

It takes one to know one.
