This creature appears in many different cultures with different names. Unicorns in Latin, Monokeios in Greek, Unicórnio in Portuguese, Chi Lin in Chinese, Kirin or Sin-you in Japanese, Karkadann in Persian, Eenhorn in Dutch, Einhorn in German, Licorne in French, Unicornio in Spanish, Alicorno in Italian, Had — Keren in Hebrew, Enhorning in Swedish… They are described as horse-like creatures, slim bodies with horns glittering shine. But the characteristics vary from culture to culture. Westerners consider these creatures wild and untamable.
