Medium Post URL Hack

While I like the custom URL feature, it hardly serves us well when it actually gives us very little control over the URL itself. Just look at the end of the URL’s, they’re ridden with all kinds of irrelevant characters followed by “.wofhry377ye” nonsense. Which makes no sense to search engines or readers. Such an URL is not search engine friendly at all. In, having all those extra characters just causes Google to demote the content for others pieces with more relevant and explainable URL’s. Google doesn’t like to serve such URL’s to its users, it definitely doesn’t help.
