At the end of our block there’s a tree whose branches sweep out over the sidewalk. It’s a flowery tree and earlier in the spring as we walked under with our dog, we could hear the sound of worker bees gathering nectar and pollen over our heads. They were loud, proud, and on a mission. It was scary at first and we approached the area with extreme caution, crossing the street or walking outside the parked cars. But…
