Characteristics of Oily Skin: Shiny face, often accompanied by enlarged pores, acne, pimples, and blackheads. How should oily skin use essential oils? Here are some simple methods recommended for oily skin to quickly get rid of excess oil.

Essential Oil Method for Oily Skin: Facial Steaming

Prepare freshly boiled water, pour it into a basin, and add 2 drops of peppermint essential oil, 1 drop of tea tree essential oil, and 1 drop of geranium essential oil. Place your face close to the basin, close your eyes, and allow the steam to reach your face. It’s best to cover your head with a large towel. This method helps to open the pores and use the essential oil-infused steam to cleanse the pores, which is very beneficial for reducing oiliness and blackheads.

Essential Oil Method for Oily Skin: Ice Compress

Mix 20ml of pure milk with 1 drop of peppermint essential oil, 2 drops of bergamot essential oil, and 1 drop of geranium essential oil. After mixing well, place it in the refrigerator to cool. Once cooled, soak a compressed facial mask in the mixture and apply it to your face for 10–15 minutes.

Essential Oil Method for Oily Skin: Massage

It’s important to choose a carrier oil for the massage. For oily skin, it is recommended to use sweet almond oil or coconut oil, as they are lightweight and easily absorbed.

Essential Oil Blend for Oily Skin:

- 2 drops of geranium essential oil

- 2 drops of rosemary essential oil

- 1 drop of lemon essential oil

- 10ml of carrier oil

Essential Oil Blend for Oily, Acne-Prone Skin:

- 2 drops of tea tree essential oil

- 2 drops of lavender essential oil

- 1 drop of peppermint essential oil

- 10ml of carrier oil

Mix well and massage into the skin. There is no need to wash off after the massage, but you can use a cotton pad to remove any excess oil after 30–40 minutes.
