Working principle of Arc welding — Arc welders wanted
The term arc welding is a ‘fusion welding process’ used to join the iron metals. An electric arc of AC or DC power supply creates a heat intense approximately at 6500°F, which helps to melt and joints the metal between the respective workpieces.

In the process, the arc is struck between the rod and the working piece, whereas both the arc and the workpiece melt to form a weld pool. At the same time, the melting of the flux-core coating on the rod forms gas, and slag, and which protects the weld pool from the surrounding atmosphere. This method is used in many processes in the different material thicknesses in all positions.

Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
It is an alternative process of SMAW, FCAW. In which, it uses a continuous constant voltage supply and consumable power supply, which produces a constant arc length.

The slag may reach the 3500°F temperature, which is considered sufficient for melting the electrode and the work material. Metal droplets fall on the weld pool and join the workpieces.
Arc Stud Welding (SW)
Generally called Stud-welding and it is like flash welding, it uses to join a nut or fastener. It usually uses a flange with nubs to melt and to create a join to another piece.

Non-Consumable Electrode Methods
Plasma Arc Welding (PAW) from arc welders
It is similar to TIG welding, uses an electric arc, and worked between the non-consumable electrode and an anode, which is placed within the torch. The arc is used to ionize the gas in the torch and creates the plasma. Then it pushed through a borehole in the side of the anode, in order to reach the base plate.
In this process, the plasma is separated from shielding gas.
