001/365 Days of Growth: Happy New Year

Hidden inside the phrase we start every new year with, we can find our desire for growth, our hope for progress and our good intentions towards others. Today, more than ever, I’m convinced, that the world is ours for the making, that we can create and attract everything we desire by choosing to become all we can be.

The purpose of this post is to follow up on your new years resolutions. Today, thanks to the fresh start the calendar seems to give us, we feel more empowered than usual. We feel like now is the time to finally make the changes we’ve been wanting to make for a long time. In these days, change seems to be accepted, even encouraged by the world around us. So let’s take a closer look how we can do it.

Expecting yourself to change in the two seconds the clock turns from 2017 to 2018, is like expecting your running shoes to do the work for you. That leads us to the ONE question that determines our ability to change, to grow, to succeed:

How do we get better?

This question is the essence of evolution, so deeply connected to life itself. Seeking answers to this question is what changed every aspect of my life. Starting today, I will share what I’ve found, hoping that it will help you to design the life you want to live.

January 1st 2018

By asking the right questions, we allow our brains to find a better answer. Even if the answer we desire seems far out of reach, you will be amazed by what your mind comes up with. If you want to wake up earlier for example, an amazing first question would be:

  • How can I make sure I workout three times a week and enjoy doing it?
  • How can I wake up at 5 am every day without hitting the snooze button and enjoy the process?
  • How can I start my own blog and enjoy the work I put in?

Suddenly our brain starts finding answers. It takes notice of what feels good and what doesn’t, simply because our awareness for the topic is expanded. Thinking about the following question is literally the only thing we should be doing today:

What’s the one question that moves me closer to the answer I need in order to make the change I want?

Think about it. Write it down. Iterate on it. Share it. My hope for 2018 is that we begin to become all we can be. See you tomorrow for the next step.
