How to use MyEtherWallet Offline Tutorial — Don’t get hacked!
People are getting their wallets hacked day in and day out. Don’t be the next person to be a victim.
And who’s being targeted? (spoiler: it’s everyone!)
What we’re experiencing in this crypto-era isn’t new. Infact, if you’ve been involved with crypto for over a year, chances are you’ve already come across a malicious little scam. It’s all over the internet. Google Docs / Apple / Skype / Chase / Facebook have all been used to lure people into phishing attacks.
You might’ve already seen a MEW phishing lure, and maybe that’s why you’re reading this article? Who knows, but we need to do something about this.
So, in today’s article I’ll be teaching you how to setup your own MyEtherWallet, so you don’t get hacked. All you need is a computer.
Step 1.
Go to https://github.com/kvhnuke/etherwallet/releases/latest and download “etherwallet-v3.21.22.zip” under “ v3.21.22”.

Step 2.
Unextract the zip file to your Desktop, or wherever you’ll remember the folder being located. :)

Step 3.
Open the file “index.html” with Chrome or Firefox by right clicking it, and be greeted with your own, very own MEW! (This doesn’t work on Microsoft Edge!)

You’ve successfully setup your own version of MEW! Hooray!
