This local farmer to me gave a great break down on why it is cost efficient for her. She can buy whatever seed she wants, for her specific case GMOs make sense. But that is not the case for every farmer. Every farm in every region is different. Maryland’s soil just happens to be well suited for the no-till system the herbicide resistant trait helps with.
