I actually find black on a white luminous screen tiring, but it’s because of the *white*. On my phone, I read white and black and find it much more comfortable. It’s impracticable on desktops, though.

I was about to write a very similar complaint. Grey, skinny type is the bane of my existence because you can’t even improve matters by enlarging it.
