TIM chooses WeSchool for a Network Infrastructure training program involving over 1,000 employees
TIM, Italy’s largest telecommunications group, and WeSchool — the new-generation learning platform — are pleased to announce their new collaboration.
Starting in September 2016, TIM will use WeSchool for its training programme on TLC Network Infrastructures for over 1,000 technical and non-technical employees.
This learning journey, spanning from telephony basics to LTE technologies, needed a versatile platform, able to deliver a multitude of educational objects and experiences.
The Introduction to Telecommunication Networks course has been designed by TIM Academy’s Faculty and will give a thorough yet easily accessible introduction on signals and service requirements, transmission media, switching techniques, fixed and mobile telecommunication networks.
TIM chose WeSchool, a platform which seamlessly blends videos, articles, tests and more into a single experience, to engage its workforce in a course that is innovative both in its content and, through the platform, in its delivery. WeSchool will integrate with TIM Academy’s learning platform.
The collaboration between TIM and WeSchool will continue on Oilproject.org. (Oilproject is WeSchool’s parent Company). In fact TIM, after launching the course internally, will make the content available to external users for free on Oilproject.org, Italy’s largest MOOC.
Telecom Italia is one of the first Italian companies to break the traditional model of giving access to internal training material to employees only. The Introduction to Telecommunication Networks course will be shared with a free MOOC model improving both customers’ and stakeholders’ awareness and competence on network infrastructure.
