List of cryptocurrency tokens and associated blockchains

In this article I will list all cryptocurrency tokens, and their associated blockchains. By this I mean tokens like (Ethereum) ERC-20 tokens and (TRON) TRX-20 tokens.

Click on this link to go to an up-to-date overview of all tokens.

In fact, coins mean ONLY crypto currencies, and tokens mean user-created tokens such as ERC-20 tokens and TRX-20 tokens ONLY.

The Ether (ETH) is a coin, and all ERC-20 tokens are tokens (and therefore NO coins). Bitcoin is also a coin and no tokens can be made on the blockchain of this coin.

Scroll down for the rest of this article.

Ethereum tokens (ERC-20 tokens)

The 10 largest ERC-20 tokens are currently:

  1. Binance Coin (BNB) rank #7 (BNB will soon be a coin with its own blockchain)
  2. Maker (MKR) rank #16
  3. Chain (CRO) rank #22
  4. USD Coin (USDC) rank #27
  5. Basic Attention Token (BAT) rank #28
  6. OmiseGO (OMG) rank #31
  7. TrueUSD (USD) rank #32
  8. ChainLink (LINK) rank #35
  9. Augur (REP) rank #37

Ethereum has by far the most user-created tokens on it blockchain. This makes Ethereum a very strong blockchain that not only benefits from its own success, but also from the success of all tokens running on the Ethereum blockchain.

For each token that is created on the Ethereum blockchain, a certain amount of Ethereum must be locked as security.

Where can I buy cryptocurrencies?

If you want to buy cryptocurrencies, I advise you to do so on Bitvavo, Litebit or Binance (with their fiat-to-crypto exchange Jersey). You can also save cryptocurrencies here, but never leave your cryptocurrency portfolio on an exchange for too long.

Where can I safely store cryptocurrencies?

If you want to store cryptocurrencies safely, I recommend that you do so on the Ledger Nano S or the latest Ledger Nano X.

Thanks a lot for your time and we hope to see you at!
