What the Health? More like What the F&%K?
To go vegan or not to go vegan that should not be the question — just watch the documentary. Do your research and decide for yourself. In the meantime, here are my views about “What The Health” on Netflix.com
As someone that is really into nutrition and prefers eating on the healthy side I have to say this film was so on point. It confirmed many things I had been thinking lately.
“Obesity is a death sentence”
What really hit home was the fact that organizations such as :
- The American Heart Association
- The American Diabetes Association
- The American Cancer Association
- Susan G Komen Foundation
…and others are being privately funded by the big box companies that provide the food that’s causing the exact health issues they are suppose to be raising awareness for. Whatttttttttt???
Also, on all their websites they have nutritional facts backing up foods that are scientifically proven to be the main causes of these diseases and health issues.
Who can you trust? It’s hard to think about that question knowing you are given misguided information about what is good and bad for your body. When you look back at the things you were taught as a child its very sad. Then when you look at some of the facts you see why you were taught so young. “The dairy industry spends millions advertising in schools”. Children are easily influenced it is sickening how these corporations feed them with the wrong things that can be harmful to their health in the long run just for financial gain.
“One serving of processed meat is 51% most likely to give you diabetes.”
Hold up, isn’t sugar suppose to be the main cause of that? According to What the Health, sugar does not cause diabetes. Damn.
And then there is the egg..
“Eating just one egg a day is as bad as smoking five cigarettes a day.” I literally had three this morning which means I smoked 15 cigarettes. As as fitness professional I was always told eggs were good for you now I’m second guessing that.
Eggs can not be labeled as;
- Low Fat
- Good for you
- Balanced Diet
- Low Calorie
Are you F%$KING serious? I learned there is nothing healthy about the egg’s yolk and even more of the fact one whole egg is as bad as eating a McMuffin from McDonalds. I hate McDonalds and now you’re tell me I’ve been eating things similar to there food on the health scale. “Oh lord, I need to re evaluate my life”.
“Eating organic food will not help you avoid contamination”
I cannot believe the way they treat the food we consume. Are we even suppose to eat meat? Again, according to What the Health, most of the largest and strongest animals are herbivores…
To me this all makes sense. The different meat we eat are so harmful that in reality we are probably not even suppose to be consuming it. Now I can say that years ago food was way healthier than it is today. Now farm animals are being fed genetically modified foods (GMO) too. This should make you think — if they can make food in a laboratory how healthy can it really be for your body?
You really should start growing your own food. Like raising your own cattle and chickens that way you know what you are eating. -Wes
Watching the way the animals are slaughtered and how the infected are treated is a shame. We as society don’t care as long as our bellies are full.
So here are some things I took away from the movie;
- Milk doesn’t cause strong bones but probably cancer
- Dairy can cause cancer even in its purest state
- Farmed fish is by no means healthy for you — I knew that lol
- Chicken is injected with salt which boost up the sodium levels
- 1 out of every 3 people will have diabetes in the next 25 years
- Meat causes massive amounts of inflammation
- All protein is made by plants
- You can reverse your health issues with a plant based diet
- Medicine is a fraud
- Chicken and beef have the same amount of cholesterol
- Chicken has a big impact in prostate cancer for men
- Plant protein is beneficial
- They didn’t mention Bison “thank gawd”
- EAT A DIET YOUR BODY IS MADE FOR
Conclusion: You will eat what you want. This film provides a lot of knowledge to the health industry that many people like myself had no idea about. Will I turn vegan. There are so many questions about how you are suppose to eat when everything you’ve ever known to be right is now suddenly wrong.
“BUT YOU CANT SAY ITS NOT TRUE UNTIL YOU GIVE IT A CHANCE.”
I am paralyzed and deal with so much pain some mainly cause by inflammation so for me it’s a must to see if this plant based diet will cure my pain.
I will begin my 30 day vegan challenge 9/11/2017.
Your health is your wealth and if you don’t focus on it you will see more issues with it as you get older. Oh and don’t trust medicine either as it’s just a way for the rich to keep getting richer and our population getting sicker.
