What part of Mexico are you from?

Michoacan

As a kid, who do you like listening to for beats and which producers influenced you to make beats the most?

The thought of creating beats didn’t occur to me until I reached my teens but influence wise was DJ Muggs, DJ Sound, Necro, Havoc, J-Zone, Toy Selectah, Kool Keith, RZA (Only in his Gravediggaz period) and Dr. Dre.

You also rap from time to time. Talk about why you started to do that and who were your main influences when it came to developing your rap style?

I started to rap at 13 but when I was 7 I would mess around with words and come up with stuff. Just hearing what people had to say but rhyming was fascinating to me and so I decided to try it out myself. I grew up listening to a variety of genres such as metal, narco-corridos, noise, rock, and of course hip-hop.

Some musical influences that have carved my style were Brujeria, Cypress Hill, Lord Infamous, Cage Kennylz, Big Pun, Evil Pimp, Red Man and Sick Jacken. Some influences aren’t even music. Its also cause of my deep interests in horror films, books, religion, art and hardcore pornography.

When it comes to production, it has a real unique sound to it. There are a lot of “dark” producers out there but yours really sticks out because it can scare someone in a way. Talk about what made you decide to make beats that way.

Haha I get that question asked a lot. Honestly to tell you the truth I’m not sure why but it naturally happens and well, I have a few screws loose which causes me to create what you hear. Personal life experiences play a role. When I started making beats I envisioned something cinematic and ambient but with that brutal basement sound to add the mayhem. The ideas for that type of style to me is endless and sadly no one has been able to make something like that other than me. The reactions I receive from it are either positive or negative but you’d be surprised on the rare following it has. I have sampled nearly almost anything fucked up that you can imagine and to hear someone become disturbed by it, makes me smile because I know I’m doing my job. Anyone can make “dark scary beats” but It takes a real person to actually take you out of your comfort zone and show you the true meaning without any boundaries. I will only continue to push it further and further until I no longer decide to.

It’s known that you are a member of both Playmade Records and Most Hated. There’s also a group called Funeral Comity you are in. Can you discuss how you got a chance to be involved in these groups?

I started off first in Funeral Comity which I co-founded alongside with my homie Myth (FREE DRE) In 2017. Later on I joined Playamade Records around 2018 after the few days it was formed but I had already produced for Icemane Tha Kingpin and had spoken to Tre-Six before about collaborating . I knew about Most Hated before they were even named that, they went by a different name back then but I told them I was down and they welcomed me.

How long have you been producing/rapping and do you think you’ve progressed since? Any favorite projects you ever recorded in your career?

I been producing for 7 years but being serious about it well, 3 and just now recently I have decided to start rapping again. Yes, I definitely have improved no doubt, nothing seems difficult anymore. So far my favorite project I produced is “Moon Presence” with Lil Dead Ray. As for recorded projects? Nothing yet.

How did you get your name? (Sadiszt & Armorking)

I got the name Sadiszt when I joined a crew called “Terror Gang” by my homie’s due to the violent content I would write and also because of the crazy shit I’d do. I didn’t like it at first but then later I approached it since it really described me.

Armorking was a character from Tekken who passed away and his younger brother takes up the throne to push on his legacy. I’m basically doing that.

As of late, you’ve been releasing tons of singles. Do you plan on releasing any projects in the future?

Yes, I plan on releasing my first ever solo album “Mistreatment” next year featuring a few artists such as Lunatic (From Most Hated), 3713 (☣☥♂♵♹♳♵♂☥☣), Tre-six/Icemane Tha Kingpin with production followed by Delacruz (Most Hated) and a few others. My plan is to become active again with music and drop projects monthly.

What does the underground mean to you? Is there anyone you wish to collaborate with?

Absolutely nothing. I forget it even exists. Many people are just looking for a quick handout and to be praised for their poor excused so called “music”. It really puts me off even being categorized with those in it. If I could work with anyone it be legendary Playa1 haha he’s mad slept on. Been trying to get in contact with him a while ago.

There is a variety in your production, but do you have a certain style of beats that you prefer making the most?

No not really, I prefer making something totally different each time. It keeps me focused and elevates my creativity. If you only stick to one certain type of style then you can only get so far. So, Its best to keep an ear out for anything out there. You may never know if you’ll use it in the near future to make something that ill.

Where can people stream your music and purchase beats at?

Bandcamp, Soundcloud or YouTube, but very soon I will upload my music onto Spotify and other platforms. You can purchase my beats on traktrain for a reasonable price.

Is there any chance you will do shows in Mexico or America in the future? What is the underground hip-hop scene in Mexico like?

In America yes, I plan to do some shows around California and Texas next year but as for Mexico that hasn’t been decided yet.

From my observation the scene is very dull and unoriginal. Tons of imitators mimicking what's popular nowadays. The whole “Memphis” trend hasn’t hit Mexico yet but there’s are a few lames out here trying to establish the reputation on being the first to mix it with the Hispanic culture. Personally the scene isn’t any different from the one In the U.S. 99% of the scene all together is washed up and only a small handful of individuals are actually real. Other than that, it can die for all I care. I don’t pay attention to anyone and only work with those who I see worthy. No one here or anywhere come close to what my brothers and myself create and those who despise us are only envious failures who been exiled.

Any last words?

Yes. Shouts out to all the low lives supporting my music and shouts out to Funeral Comity, Playamade Records, Most Hated & Nightmare Institution. Thank YOU for this interview and Expect the unexpected.
