I disagree. Without pain there is no contrast. One cannot appreciate happiness without having known sorrow. Yes it hurts, but it deepens one’s desire for comfort and well-being. There is value in a broken heart if a person can rise above the pain and hurt.

Hanging on to the pain can make us jaded, bitter and lonely. Therefore it does not serve our well-being to cling to the pain. Find clarity in the experience and let the clarity bring you the love and happiness you seek.
