Will to Power, Will to Evil.
Capping power and wealth.
It’s amazing that if you look at the political views of the majority of today’s bearers of power, you immediately see that nearly all political views gravitate towards the authoritarian right. This is the cause of all the economical and political idiocy that is surrounding us in countries nearly all over the world.
I think that the main detail that characterises the authoritarian right is the aim to concentrate all power (financial and political) in the hands of individuals. Any deviation from this will force them to give up either political power (liberal right), financial power (authoritatian left), or both (libertarian left). It is the union between political power and individual capital that is the worst imaginable combination that has already led to, and that will lead to even worse consequences, unless someone either willfully or forcefully ditributes his power to a larger group of people.
The authoritarian right is a corruption of all ideals by power. It is the corruption of capitalism through its closeness to political power, and it is the corruption of governance through its closeness and dependency on individual capital.
It surprises me that while it is widely agreed that political power should be limited, and on the other hand it is largely debated whether wealth and capital should be limited. When any individual has too much of any sort of power it always leads to abuse.
The question is how do we define an acceptable level of power for everyone, and how can it happen that people will accept that once the ‘will to power’ is in place, it is always infinite, hence leading to all the evil that exists.
