On Tuesday, September 22 What If hosted Be Social Change for a panel discussion on the Future of The Sharing Economy. The panel included the following experts in the field: Melissa O’Young, Head of NY Community, Airbnb, Odile Beniflah, Head of International, Meetup, Lee-Sean Huang, Co-Founder / Creative Director, Foossa, Eric Ho, Founder, miLES, and Delphine Braas, Co-Founder, Marketing & Business Development, Sailo. Marcos Salazar, Co-Founder + Executive Director of Be Social Change moderated the evening’s discussion.
Throughout the evening the panelists helped to define what the sharing economy is as well as the benefits.
The panelists discussed many topics on how the sharing economy provides people access, creates micro-entrepreneurs and improves lives. However, they noted that there is a fast-evolving space and there are still a lot of questions that need to be answered with government and corporate responsibility.
