Brooklyn is essentially paying 23m a year for DAR with the Mozgov tax. This deal is the opposite — they were already paying a Nicholson tax to get Jarrett Allen’s draft pick. That tax is now a write off from Crabbe’s deal. Nicholson was dead money. Crabbe is only a marginal $11m cost per year.
