It’s interesting to revisit these rankings a month in and see what caused discrepancies.

Hey thanks for the thorough look back and response. I was just looking back on this the other day too, laughing about how Jo Noah would NOT be ranked that high or as the second best player anymore. It’s amazing how much can change in 20 games.

I do disagree with the idea that Luke Walton counts as a #1 because you’d have to count at least ten coaches in that ranking too then. For example, Rick Carlisle ain’t getting the job done anymore — now that he has nothing to work with.

Definitely one awesome star can cover a lot of sins. At least they can in the regular season, as can the depth of some of the teams you mentioned. We’ll see how it holds up over 82 games and then playoffs when the rotations shorten.
