A First Trip to London (Jenna’s blog: University of Sussex, Fall 2013)
Being in the center of everything–being part of something entirely new, yet familiar in what you’ve seen on your TV screen and read about in books–is an experience unlike any other. There’s absolutely nothing like the adrenaline rush one gets from stepping into a new environment with tons to explore.
London is a beautiful city. Obviously in a short amount of time, Molly and I didn’t get to explore all of the city. But I like to think we got to some of the major landmarks! We even made it to a 4PM tour of Buckingham Palace State Rooms, which are open for touring until 29th September in celebration of the anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. We got to go behind the scenes of the ceremony and see some pretty amazing sites. Buckingham Palace itself is absolutely stunning…

I think my favorite place had to be Westminster Abbey. We couldn’t go inside because it’s Sunday, but goodness, is the place beautiful. There are so many intricate designs involved in its architecture; I could have studied it for hours. [Click here to read more of Jenna’s blog!]
