Nothing in this article discounted your experience, at all. Ken doesn’t say or imply, even one time, that this behavior is limited to men. In fact, it’s such a complete projection onto the material that to be honest, it seems like you’re reflexively getting defensive, just as expected, because the thrust of the article is “women experience this more,” which is absolutely true. Not only do we have anecdotal evidence, we have hard numbers to back it up, no matter how much you want it to not be true.
Because you must somehow feel that it diminishes or disqualifies your own experience. It doesn’t. You’re the only person here saying it does, from your completely subjective reading. If anyone needs to take a step back, it’s you.
