Hope
Heart soaked in regret,
Limp from all the pain and heartache,
Stained by blood and sweat,
Laying claim on my stake.
Flickers of light,
Shadowed by darkness from the past,
Fiercely fighting night after night,
Dawn breaks at last.
A ray of sunlight,
Smiles in beams,
Green and blue and white,
Nature around me gleams.
