As I walk new streets
I feel the world
Being expanded
Before my eyes
And as it grows
It beats in time
With the rhythm
Of my heart

To experience life in ways
I never have before
As I share struggles
And celebrations
I feel humanity
Opening up
Revealing itself
Until it’s laid bare
Naked and trusting
Inside my soul

I read
To fill myself with words
As I take them in
I feel them
Being absorbed
In my mind
Where they morph
Meld and grow
To one day
Travel onward
As something new
