In Case You haven’t Noticed …
This day is going to be a good day. I have spent much time over the past few weeks finding myself and connecting with other people who progress both my career and life.
Lil Lucas and I have been spending lots of time together, and it’s completely overwhelming how quickly he’s growing. I find myself looking at him, and I swear if I turn around for just a split second, sometimes, once I turn back around he looks more grown up. It makes me sad to think of him as a grown man, but that’s exactly what he’s doing. He’s taking in the world around him, and it’s shaping him more ways than I’ll ever understand.
In almost eight years from now he will be asking for the keys to the car. I can’t imagine him being that old, much less myself. The decisions he will be responsible for making at that age are going to be more complex than those we had to make. If you haven’t noticed, the world is falling apart around us. We live in a society full of hate and greed. Living in a small town, it is tempting to rest in the shelter it provides from the outside world. I can’t, though.
And I can’t and won’t complain. This journey Lucas and I have been blessed with during our time on earth is one that we travel together, and God has truly blessed us with more than we can imagine or ever think about asking for.
I think writers sometimes get lost in their own galaxies of words. Here's a glance into the ones I travel to.powered.by.rabbut.com
