Ever since Ada Lovelace wrote the first computer software, women have been smashing it as technologists — but they haven’t always been given the recognition they deserved.

When we started White October Events, one of our aims was to put on tech conferences that were truly representative and inclusive. Over the last few years we’ve welcomed some amazing and inspiring women to our conference stages, so we’d like to take this opportunity to thank them for sharing their knowledge and experience with us.

We’re White October Events, and we run conferences and training workshops for web developers. For the last four years we’ve had a brilliant time organising jQuery UK. But for 2016, we’ve decided to do something different…

jQuery UK has never been an event solely about jQuery. It’s actually the UK’s largest front-end developer conference, with talks covering topics ranging from Web Components and Service Workers to ES6 and WebGL.
