Jenni. You assume that because I decide to voice my opinion, that I am “not listening”? Give me a break and stop already with the politically correct lectures. Why on earth should I only have the right to listen and not speak when it comes to racial discussion? I am not a slave owner. I am not a racist. I have committed no atrocities towards other races. Is it because of my “white privilege” that I deserve no right to speak?
Blacks don’t need our help. They have already been given affirmative action, food stamps, public housing, special grants, etc. This has done nothing for the black community. What will solve the black community’s problems is the black community. Education, family structure, hard work. You can call me racist all you want, but is this not the truth? I’m not saying we can’t assist in these efforts, but you can only help someone if they are willing to help themselves. All the entitlements in the world will not solve the problems at hand.
Of course I’m not saying that all black people are uneducated or lack family structure. I’m saying that these mentioned problems are more prominent in the black community. This is fact. Not racist opinion. If we can’t face the facts, then what is the point.
