The Cost of Getting Organized
Megan Reynolds

I’m still working through the idea that containers are meant to contain a set amount of things. As in, if my scarves are overflowing my scarf basket, it doesn’t mean I need another basket, I need fewer scarves. Like the container is a limit to the number of things I can have. Also, that I can’t fit two drawers worth of socks into one sock drawer.

I heard this on a podcast not too long ago (The Art of Simple, I think? The guest was the host of A Slob Comes Clean), so I can’t take credit. It may seem v obvious to most people out there, but not to me!
