1000 years of luxury in the Louvre of Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, Oct. 30, 2019 — The louvre has opened a new exhibit about luxury by diverse cultures and fashion.

In an event that aims to celebrate luxurious history, up to 350 pieces of jewelry, fashion, art, design, furniture, and more lavish objects are being exhibited in the Louvre through 30th October 2019 to 18th February 2020.

Luxury and fashion houses such as, Christian Dior, Chanel, Hermes, Balanciaga, Cartier and more, are aiding in this event to display how different cultures and different times have interpreted luxury.

A cultural program has been set by the internationally known artistic director Ruth Mackenzie CBE that will be mainly focused on scarce experiences that money can not buy. The event highlights a number of shows and programs that celebrate 10,000 years of luxury and feature many respected names such as, Benjamin Millepied, Hind Zahra, Hamdan Al Abri, Wangi Li, Quatpur, Hind Mezaina, among others.
