EDNA Where you own your own DNA

EDNA is one of my favorite projects at the moment. I learned about it after getting an Airdrop around the time the EOS MainNet went live. To date I think it is one of the best projects on EOS and Telos. If you want to learn more about the project and keep up with their progress you should join their Telegram Group at https://t.me/edna_life

So why am I excited about this project? Think about all the people that have paid to join Ancestry.com, their web site says 20 million people. In addition to that site there is also the 23andme.com both of these companies will send you some silly report to show you how Neanderthal you are or what your heritage might be but read the contract, you no longer own your own DNA. These companies are monetizing your DNA by selling it to researchers. The average amount a researcher will pay for DNA is $350 and according to the people that know about this they say you might be able to find 200 projects that want your DNA for a grand total of $70,000. Now I’m not sure about the 200 projects but even if I can get 3 projects that will more than pay for my DNA to be sequenced, and maybe aid in a project finding the next cure to some horrible disease. The other thing I like about the project is their push towards ending the poaching of Elephants and Rhinos for their tusks, which can be tracked via DNA.

There are a number of ways that after making an investment in EDNA you can gain a return on your investment:

1. Have your DNA sequenced and get money back from Researchers

2. Lease out EDNA tokens to others that maybe can’t afford to pay for a part or the whole sequencing fee and enter into a smart contract with them for whatever return you both agree on with you being paid out of the proceeds from them monetizing their own DNA

3. Stake your EDNA tokens on the DAC (Decentralized Autonomous Community) for passive income

4. This is a brand new project and I expect growth in the value of the token as several short term milestones are about to be met:

a. The DAC is about to go live

b. The first group of folks are about to get their DNA sequenced

c. The project has asked 3 very large marketing firms to start to market EDNA for them

d. Once people start getting money paid back to them from researchers word of mouth will spread

e. The value of the DNA to researchers will be higher than that of the other two companies listed above because the EDNA project is using a state of the art sequencing lab that will provide a better product for the researchers, therefore greater demand and higher payouts for EDNA DNA

To learn more about the project join the Telegram group and watch the videos listed below that I watched to learn more while doing my due diligence:

EDNA VIDEO #3

40,000 Elephants are killed each year on a remaining population of just under 400,000. Not acting now — and I mean RIGHT NOW may erase that species from the face of the Earth. We have had some preliminary contact with a group working to end the ability of poachers who are by far the largest threat. What catches elephant poachers the best, is genetically matching ivory to prohibited hunting areas at the point of sale (since all living populations are already genetically mapped). Sadly, law enforcement and conservation groups can not afford to test every tusk for sale, only a small sample — so the slaughter continues.

EDNA can change all of this. We’ve gone to great lengths to get the very best, lowest cost genetic sequencing tools into our lab. Adding in an “elephant testing division” is easily achieved, and can be delivered well below current prices paid to run the current “poacher check”.

Together, we can end this. If every tusk put up for sale were genetically tested and traced back to a legal kill or not, poaching is over.

WARNING THIS VIDEO IS VERY GRAPHIC AND GRUESOME
