The thought that mobile access to the Internet is the same as broadband access is poor from other perspectives also.
In India, I have seen some eCommerce companies treat the customers coming through a mobile channel as the primary customer. But as your article and referenced reports show, a lot of people access the Internet through mobile only because they likely can’t afford to have high-speed Internet at home along with a computer to use it. This should imply a higher buying power overall for those who do have access to the Internet on their PCs and Macs — and ignoring them because the rise of Internet usage is through mobile is probably short-sighted if you are selling something.
