Labourer in residence
Rab Ritchie
Rab Ritchie joined us onsite for a full three-day, hardcore stint of renovation work.
And we mean hardcore…
Rab is a web designer & developer, who was ridiculously kind in offering to take a couple of days off work, come to Newcastle and help to give no.46 it’s almighty facelift.
After falling into disrepute for so long, our Grade II listed home has been crying out for some love in the form of a sledgehammer or two. It’s tough love.
With this being Rab’s first visit to Newcastle, we made sure to show him a few of our favourite haunts (pretty much every place we could feed and water him!) — Redhouse, The Bridge Tavern, Brew Dog, Ernest, and Quay Ingredient to name a few.
We also managed to catch Terry Alderton — who was the final performer at the BBC comedy festival Jesterval
Rab is already planning his next visit to Newcastle to help again with the W&W transformation. Although he’s frustrated he can’t see our progress in the flesh from his home city in Scotland, we’ve promised him plenty of updates and pictures.
Once again Rab, thank you so much! Rab is available (not for labouring!) for hire from the 15th July — take a look at his work.
