I was skeptical of, and highly opposed to, having an outdoor woodfired oven dominate our garden. I acknowledge that the hooded barbecue, that we spent a fortune on, was a complete disaster. In three years it has rusted out and was falling apart. We now really only used it for Pizza making, as we had purchased a small oven like device that sat over the burners. Annie, my wife, thought my pizzas were “OK, not the best , and they could be better.”

Wood fired ovens are huge, and every website I visited seemed to have them as the centre of an outdoor kitchen/entertainment area. …
