The Economics of the Candy Jar
Nicole Dieker

I have a candy jar!
Catch is, it’s holiday themed, and you have to answer the holiday related prompt to get candy. (Candy is expensive! I make people work for it! It’s for my own entertainment, primarily!)

I think, though, that because it’s themed and I encourage people to visit (they have to walk all the way into my office to get to it) and tell me “what they’d wish for with a pot of gold” (or some malarkey), it sort of steps around the power structure aspect and becomes about how much you were *really* hoping to take a break from work and satisfy your afternoon sweet tooth. I’m sort of middle of the totem pole and it gets universal use.
