No false narrative here. We are in agreement that genetic engineering is not the same as artificial selection. I don’t understand however, where you come up with the narrative that GMOs are not properly tested. If you want to provide a evidence of that, I will be happy to review it.

Let’s take 3 breeding techniques. Cross breeding, mutagenesis and GMO. In crossbreeding or mutagenesis hundreds, if not thousands of genes, are altered as a product. On GMO only a hand full of genes are altered. You should be more concerned about the breeding techniques that alter more genes than the ones that alter fewer genes. 
In any case, if you want to carry on the lack of testing, please provide a citation from a accredited scientific journal.
