A Handful of my Favorite Quotes

I love quotes. I love quotes so much I have a “Quote of the Day” app. Here is a list of my favorites. These are not in any order. There are too many incredible quotes out there on too many topics for me to rank them against one another. I hope you enjoy. What a powerful thought. I have had the fortune of meeting some amazing people throughout my life as well as some real jackwagons. When I think back on a conversation or a moment I shared with such people, I’ve never really remembered an earth-shattering sentence they said or a gesture that I’ll cherish forever, rather my subconscious keeps an awareness of how I felt in that person’s presence. Which is both a useful and nerve-wracking phenomenon. Simply put, this quote serves as an important reminder to always treat people with respect.

BOOM! If that’s not motivation then I don’t know what is. This means a lot coming from a guy who was rated as a two-star prospect going into college and has gone on to become the most fearsome defender in the NFL. Stay hungry. Better yourself every day. Never be satisfied.

Not everything you do is going to turn out as pretty as you hoped it would. Ralph Marston is here to remind us that if you practice an attitude of excellence and hold yourself to a higher standard, then you are going to be more successful in whatever endeavor you take on.

That’s deep. In today’s age of transparency through social media and constant interaction with the world, it is all too easy to get caught up in what others think of you. At the end of the day, the only person’s opinion that truly matters is your own. Be the best version of yourself you can be, and let the chips fall where they may.
