Will Houghton is a wilderness preparedness and rescue instructor based in Ashburnham, Massachusetts. He loves to give back to the community in many ways, such as by teaching students how to survive in natural disaster and wilderness situations. He has traveled to different areas of the world to help people with his medical and educational experience and helped people closer to home in Ashburnham.

Will Houghton of Ashburnham volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in 2007 to supervise the construction of septic tanks for residents in north central Massachusetts. Habitat for Humanity provides free construction services all of the United States to individuals and families that need homes. Houghton used his leadership and construction skills to make sure that his projects got done to help people in the timeframe he and the other volunteers promised. Houghton has construction experience from working as the fundraiser and construction coordinator for a new playground at Briggs Elementary School in Ashburnham. He is happy to work with organizations like Habitat for Humanity because they work deeply within their communities to provide the best and most useful services to those who need it the most.

Will Houghton has worked in Ashburnham to create new opportunities for people to learn how to help others in desperate situations and to promote education and infrastructure. Houghton is always looking for the next challenge in his career. He will continue to volunteer and work with others to help his community. Will Houghton works as the Director of Mountain Medicine in Ashburnham.
