I have just finished reading a book about a new approach to dealing with cancer (amongst other health issues) called Mitochondrial Metabolic Therapy (MMT). The book is titled ‘Fat for Fuel’, authored by Dr. Joseph Mercola, and although the title suggests it is about diet, it does address cancer directly as well, going into considerable detail about cancer cells and what makes them grow — and shrink, and the extent to which one can directly help or hinder the disease by controlling one’s diet.
It is not intended as a replacement for conventional treatment, such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy, but as an approach to help the body starve & remove the cancer cells. As a non-medical person, I found it relatively easy to understand.
My interest in the approach in the book is because my family, on both sides, suffer a lot of cancer and Alzheimer/dementia which I’d like to avoid, if I can.
