You act as if 3.0 doesn’t exist yet. It is technically still in alpha, but you can get a binary build of it, and I have found it surprisingly stable (for aloha software). In fact, since there are so many breaking changes in it, I would recommend it to any new Godot developers right now. It may be a little funky for a few months, but at the rate it’s being developed it will be rock solid soon. Also the editor just looks way sexier.
