In Matlock, a colourful group of motorcyclists got together to help raise £260 for The Den Children’s Hospital located in Chesterfield.

The group united under the charity named #TEAMPINK on Sunday 7th of April to help in any way they could and answered a call for funds and some easter eggs as well.

The event was organised by #TEAMPINK which is a children’s charity based locally in Matlock and run by Stuart Coltman and Jaime Sanderson.

Co-founder of #TEAMPINK Stuart Coltman gave a strong message behind why this event means so much. He said, “We have always had a saying, giving good back to the community”.

Furthermore, he thanked everyone involved stating, “We are very lucky to have our very supportive families backing every move we make”.

Stuart and Jaime met each other back in 2020 and since then, they have been running the charity ever since.

Now they are a group of 10 regulars who had been friends predating the formation of the charity. Together they try to get as many people down as possible to support several different charitable causes.

The 60-mile roundtrip journey began at Matlock Train Station with the motorcade traversing the Peak District in an array of colours from classic motorcycle jackets to eye-catching costumes.

It should also be mentioned that the group made a pit stop at a roadside café along the way to rest up and have a drink.

When asked, Tom Hall a local motorcyclist said his motivations behind coming were, “it’s a good day out, probably one of the last egg runs of the year”.

As someone very passionate about motorcycles, Hall felt it was only right that he show his support in any way he could.

#TEAMPINK has been running the event for three years now with enthusiasts gathering more and more over the years.

Stuart’s spouse Beth Coltman who helped in organising emphasised this highlighting, “First year we had 20 bikes, second year we had 80”. Despite the weather being poor earlier in the day, it did not stop 33 bikers, some with passengers, from joining in with the fun.

#TEAMPINK appreciate any donations and is the host of Peak District and Motorcycle events regularly.

Previously in 2023, they raised a staggering £1000 by completing the Three Peaks challenge in aid of the charity Mental Health Motorbike.

In June of 2024, they will be attempting the Lake District 24 Peaks challenge in aid of The Air Ambulance Service and Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Stuart Coltman explained his reasoning on Facebook saying, “Can you get any bigger in the UK than the 3 Peaks… of course, you can”. Furthermore, he expressed, “I believe in the team and I know we can do it”
