You pointed me at this as a counter to my assertion that If a very bad idea (robot cars, in your view) threatens a very good idea (PRT), that rather suggests that the world disagrees with you about the ordering of those two ideas.

But for that, I find this somewhat confused. This is very Austin-focussed, and while you start with congestion you move onto efficiency, with which you purport to knock out a whole class of vehicles. But if, as might reasonably be assumed, the congestion is the main problem, that knock-out becomes irrelevant.

Your “robot cars” section (A note on self-driving cars) doesn’t really say much, so I’m not convinced this is a good support for your assertions.
